Usually we develop ExpressionEngine website on development or staging server. After the development, we need to deploy the whole website on the live server for which we need to update the server path and website URL in a number of places like:
- Content > Files > File Upload Preferences
- Design > Templates > Global Preferences
- Members > Preferences
- Admin > Channel Administration > Channels
- Admin > General Configuration
- Admin > System Administration > Emoticon Preference
- Admin > Security and Privacy > Captcha Preferences
